Step-by-Step Thursday

Hey Creative people,

How are you doing today. Its Thursday and time for some step-by-step project with me 'Neeti' :). I created a sweet & simple goodie/favor basket using one of the images from Cupcake Stamps. These are just yumm!!! lolz

Here is a sneak peak of my yumm basket. Ofcourse, you will get to see the clear picture just after this tutorial. Hey, no cheating!!! you can't scroll down!! :))
This is how it was made -

Take 10"X10" cardstock of your color choice and score it at 2.5" from each edge. Take a colored CS or patterned paper, cut the a little shorter than the score areas and paste them on all the six side.
I stamped the colored CS with cupcake stamp. And cut from the dotted lines to make side of the base box. Here is the base of our goody basket.

Now, its turn for coloring our image. I colored my image first with pencil colors and markers (left one). And then embellish it with pink glitter balls and yellow embossing powder (right one). Its fun to experiment with various things on one project :). (just click the image for clear enlarged view)

Lastly, I cut out three scalloped circles from different colored CS in varied sizes and layer them for the base of the image. The handle of the basket is made from a strip of CS 11" long and 1.5" wide. I also stamped it with cupcake stamp and stick ribbon towards the center.

See, its so easy. Now, heres the final goodie goodie basket.

Just want to take it for some candy shopping (like a lill girl)..lolzz.
See, isn't the image delectable. You can get this image set and many other beauties from Blackleaf Studios. and don't forget to leave a comment on this post. You never know, you can be a lucky one to get a beautiful image.
Hope you enjoyed this post as much as I enjoyed working on this project.

Tomorrow, its Friday, a freebie day. Come along with us to see what Noor has in store for you.
