Hi all,

with a little treat bag I made using the Baby Express Choo Choo Train paper set.

I made the bag topper for a goodie bag for my son's 5th birthday party. He wanted trains, and I thought this adorable paper was perfect!

I am going to use this paper for the invites as well, but just haven't gotten that far yet! Yes, I know. I am making the thanks for coming BEFORE the invites, but I had a challenge to make thank you's. Not many places make challenges for invites!

Cupcake Toppers!

It's been a few since I have posted... have you missed me?!

Rachel here! I wanted to share with you the cupcake toppers I made for my oldest son's birthday party that is coming up WAY too fast!

I made sure to take a picture with the back of the topper showing too. I cut the blue shape out on my silhouette. Can you tell where I got that shape?

I cut out one for the front, and then another for the back. But because I didn't want to be wasteful, I cut one in half and pasted it to the back so it was just enough to cover the stick. Actually, reverse that. I used the half piece for the front because once I put the white layer on over the half piece, you couldn't tell it was just a half and looked smoother!

(I didn't use a toothpick cause didn't want the sharp point at a four year olds birthday party! I used a coffee stir straw instead that I cut down to size.)

Okay, so back to the blue shape... have you figured out where I got the shape from yet? It is from this set:

I used the wheels! Too cool huh! And the image on the cupcake topper came from this set:

Monster Truck Cutting Files

BlackLeaf Studio's now has .SVG files for your cutting pleasure!

These files are great! They work well with your cricut and SCAL, but for those of you with a Silhouette and the NEW studio, you do have to make a few changes. It does take a few steps, but it is so worth it... I am so excited! I can cut all the .svg files from BLS!
YAY ME!

Its Sketch Saturday time with me Neeti. Sorry for being a little late, my migraine was recking my nerves since morning :((. I had a card ready, but finding it difficult to posting it :(.

Anyways, since its a Christmas day, I wish Santa gives very best of gifts to you for you all being very nice this year..lolzz

Here is the sketch for today for you to play along and show us your lovely creations.

And here is my card. I twisted it a lill' bit with back as front and front as back. And load it with lots of gifts :)

I used a couple of my embossing folders showcasing a scene of snow and snow heaps... mounting down the sleigh with some special gifts. :)

Step by Step Thursday

Good morning, Stephanie here with Step by Step Thursday.

It really is very easy to create custom cards when using digi images because you can print them in any size you want. Many times, I've stamped an image and really wanted something larger, so I'm finding digis are a big help.

I used the background paper and the gingerbread house from the new Christmas collection. I knew the size of my card was going to be 5" x 6 1/2" so I printed my striped paper at 5" x 7". Then I printed the gingerbread house at 3 1/2".

I mounted the striped paper on brown cardstock and adhered that to my card. Then I colored the gingerbread house with water color pencils and markers, matted it on brown cardstock and added it to the card front. The sentiment was added just to the right to finish off my card.

TFL and have a Merry Christmas.

We went around the malls enjoying the festive decorations and shopped a bit too :)

I wanted to do something non Christmas or holiday themed since all I have been doing is making cards and gift tags lol..so here is a bday invite for a sweet little girl! Reminds me of my little pony..I had so many growing up!!

Hey everyone it is Fink here! I hope this month is not to stressful for all of you! I know it sure has been crazy for me! Eek! Anyway, to why you are here. I am this week’s tutorial!!!! I decided to show you a great gift for the holidays! I still do teacher’s gifts for the Middle School teachers from Antonia. Each year I do a hot cocoa packet. I used to rack my brain trying to come up with the perfect gift but now I do cocoa!! I figure if they won’t drink it someone in the family might! LOL

Step 1

You need to pick a packet holder color, which I chose blue. You need to cut it to 7 1/2 by 11 then score at 5 and 10. This will give you the middle fold and your edge.

Step 2

Now this year I decided to try something new by using a background paper! Of course you have to have an image ready and I am using the Black leaf Reindeer. Another thing you can do instead of the paper is to find a stamp you would like to use as a background stamp. Take the stamp and use Versamark or a pigment ink then chose the color embossing powder and emboss! It looks totally cute too! This is the first time I tried background paper and it worked well too! This paper was cut down to 4 6/8 x 7 1/8 (of course adjust as you want) to give an edge of color.

Step 3

Here is the packet decorated and ready to be filled. Next to it is 4 packets of flavored cocoa. My image paper size is 3 x 2 3/4 the red paper is 3 1/4 x 3. The edges decorated. I also stamped the sentiments Warmest Holiday Wishes and embossed it in Ancient Gold! I added the snowflakes and gems that you will see in the final picture!

Step 4

To hold the cocoa you will need to punch a circle in the top then use ribbon to hold it in as shown in the picture! You tie your bow at the top and use it as the guide of where the cocoa packets hang. Does this make sense?

Step 5

As you can see I have my bow tied at top so that it holds in the packets. I put a glitter snowflake then gem in center, a glitter snowflake on sentiment corner, plus tiny gems in the center of the stars plus as reindeer nose and I glitter the antlers. Designer tip: Use clear dots or Zots for closing packet edge. You will be folding the edge in so put the dots on the top side. These seem to be the best for holding it shut!

Hope you like it and trust me it is easy and you can adjust to fit your needs!

I colored the butterfly with Copics then stamped tiny mini hearts on it.

Can you see the thin paper stripe at the bottom??

I matched it with the green sentiment paper...

This lovely butterfly is "sending you smiles" from me :):)

Hey Friends,

Weekend started :) And I {Neeti}here with another sketch challenge for you. This month we were given this beautiful Unicorn set to work with. And believe me you will enjoy designing various projects with it :).

So, first the sketch -

And here is my take on the sketch:

I made a gift card holder using lots of roses and 'Butterfly' image from Blackleaf Studio to sparkle the center :). I printed the image on different color gingham printed paper. We generally use swirls and flower PP for printing butterfly, this time I experimented with gingham paper and really like the result. Have used some rhinestone for the center and for its antennaes.

Step-by-Step Thursday!!!

Hey,

a very Good Morning to all you lovely people...

it's Thursday and it's time for a brand new project and me, Shalini will take you through it step-by-step...

the stamps we got to play with this month are super duper fun... infact they are my fave till date... can't get my eyes off them... they are so cheerful and peppy... wait till u catch a glimpse of them...

introducing the Merry Owls... aren't they adorable!!!

used one of these darlings to create a shaped card...

Step 1: Enlarge the image to a size suitable for a card…they could be great as mini gift tags or larger cards too... the choice is yours...

Step 2: Print out the image and color in or easier still take out a colored copy on white card stock...

I highlighted mine using some Christmas greens and reds in selected areas… the eyes have been embossed with black embossing pen...

Step 3: cut out the image neatly... can you see those white strips of paper... i slit the bars in the owls tummy to form a caged look... :)

Step 4: Next up, trace the shape onto another piece of card stock... the color choice is up to you... i used a green card stock for a contrast look... cut it out... Paste only the top part of the back card aligning it neatly behind the front card.

Step 5: Have added some rhinestones, glitter, faux stitching on the belly and it's ready to be posted!!!

wasn't that super easy and fun... wanted to make one each with all those Merry Owls... i would, soon :)

Hey Friends,

Wednesday is here and with that its 1st of Dec {shrieks}!! Its just the end of year and we are approaching to a brand new year. But, before that let us all enjoy the holidays..lolzz

Today for stamp it up, I {Neeti} have made a Christmas card, full of blings and sparkles and it was easy to make too :). So, here is what I created:

I used the trees from "Traditional Christmas" Stamp Set. Printed out on white CS, colored the background with sponge effect, doodled all the lines with my gel marker, adorn some blings and viola your tree is ready to set in any creation. :). Aren't they looking so fab?? You can also get these and many more images for your Christmas creations from the Shop and use them anywhere & in any size. The versatility of these stamps :).

Fresh out of the Oven Tuesday

Hey, it's me, Divya! I'm back again with another digi project. I made an eInvite of sorts using the Tinsel Town Paper pack. As the holiday season takes us over, making merry, meeting, and eating kind of become a regular affair :-) While handmade invites certainly do have that special charm, one can't rely on snail mail to send out several invites, especially when you decide to have a party - all of a sudden, just like that! (really, holidays do that to us, lol!) eInvites work great for such times. They're quick and save valuable time that could be used to prep the party and yeah, to find the perfect dress ;-)
Here's a handy one that I made, you know, just in case I go all out on the holiday thing and decide to have a party over at my place :-)

The trendy polka dot background is from the Tinsel Town Paper pack and aren't the bells oh-so-merry? I love how the colours are so contemporary, something different from the classic red 'n' green.

I used Traditional Christmas Clipart Set, colored it and position it in center with dimensionals. Good morning Stephanie here with Stamp It Up Wednesday. I hope you've been enjoying all the images and papers this month. They are so fun and versatile. For my card, I used the Tinseltown background papers which are lovely in shades of blues and browns, perfect for any creation from winter to Christmas themes. The Christmas bell image is part of this digi set:

I printed the bell large so it would be the focal point of my card. Then I colored the image with Prisma pencils. Using my Circle Nestabilities, I die cut the image, then added some Crystal Stickles for some shimmer and shine.

So pop on over to the store now and get your Christmas images. They are sure to please.

Fresh Out of the Oven Tuesday

Hi Everyone, it's Divya! Continuing with the holiday trend, I made this digi template for a card. It's perfect for a personalised card with a favourite holiday photo.

For the background, I used the candy striped holiday paper from the Tinsel Town Paper pack.

And the images are from Ginger Bread Stamps set.

I always rely on good old PPT to make my digital layouts and templates. I simply play around with the elements until I'm happy with the layout and then I save the file in the JPG format. I know there are atleast ten better programs and software I could use, but right now I'm content with keeping it simple and working with PPT. But I'll probably try and educate myself about the latest goodies available online. All in good time :)

For now, hope you liked my modest project and hope it inspires you to make one yourself!

Let's get Scrap Happy!

I am big on keeping and TRYING to use up scraps... but tend to end up with a pile of scraps on my work table...

Are you one of those people?

Good Morning Black Leaf Studio Followers, Rachel here, to show you a cute embellishment you can make with all those scraps you have taking up space on your table.

I have a hard time throwing ANY cute paper away... no matter the size, so when I saw these fabulous flowers on someone's blog {Julie Campbell}, I just knew how I was going to get rid of {get creative} with all those little scraps!

Here is a little flower you can make with your LITTLE scraps.
I like to try to use a 2 inch piece of paper, as it is still big enough for me to get a hold of. I am sure you could use bigger or smaller, but this size is perfect for me!I had some left over paper from this digi paper pack: {Tinsel Town}So I started by cutting down the paper on one side to 2 inches. Next I cut 1/4 inch strips.
To make the embellishment, you will need about 4 strips of each pattern:Then i started to layer my strips together. I use my more solid paper (this was paper I had stamped on but had the image smudge, so I used it as scrap) for the bottom layer, forming an X twice with the 4 strips. I just put a drop of glue between each layer to hold together:
Next, I layer my pattern paper in the same way on top of the solid papers:
Lastly, I add the button to complete the flower. I had some die cut buttons lying on my desk, so figured I'm already scrapping it up, might as well use those scrap paper buttons!

I added twill string to the button and then glossy accents to make the button shiny before adding it to the flower.The only other thing to do is add your fabulous embellishment to your project. I made a quick little gift tag for a present I have ready to go out in a day or so. The stripped paper is from last months Freebie Friday Christmas Papers here on Black Leaf Studio Designs, the border punch is Martha Stewart, and the sentiment is from Unity Stamp Co.

Tutorial Thursday at Blackleaf-- Gift Card Holder

Sorry all! I post dated this to show up this morning but it did not do that! Sorry for the delay! Here it is, hope you like it!

Hey all-

Fink here with Tutorial Thursday again this week! I wanted to give you all a quick idea for gift cards but still be able to show off your talents! I think I found it in this holder! It is very easy but as I will show you can really look like you took days to make! LOL

First you need to cut your paper 4x12 then score it at 4, 6 and 8

After you did this you will need to make your w folder. Let me show you:

Next you will need to get your gift card and put it length wise (or how ever you want) and mark when you need your cuts. I just used scissors to cut across.

After this part go to the front and decorate as you want!

This is what I used! Easy looking, huh? Of course you need your embellishments!!!

Here is my finished Gift Card Holder! I used a ribbon under my front image to hold the holder closed. I put my embellishments on to add extra bling! LOL

Supplies: Image: Gingerbread, Paper: DCWV & SU, Ribbon: Celebrate it, Snowflakes: Dress it up! The gingerbread house has drawn snowflakes that are very pretty as well. They would look great glittered or even Stickled.

These can be whipped up when you have that last minute company or great teachers gifts!

Helloooo everyone!!!! Today I am going to show you a couple GREAT things from Blackleaf Studios!! First, the Tinsel Town paper and second, the gorgeous Reindeer from BLACKLEAF STUDIOS. These look so pretty together, and it just SCREAMS for sparkle!!! I glittered up the photo corners, added stickles to the stars, and some gems for extra sparkle!!!! The card base is silver. I added a few flourishes and some rhinestones to make it even more "blingy", and ended up with an elegant Christmas card!!

'Create Magic' Monday

Hello Everyone!!!

Hope you had a relaxed weekend. Well i sure did... my cold and sore throat had me sleeping through the weekend... a rarity off late ;))

It's Monday and it's Magic time folks!!!

BLS is all geared up for the holiday season with some beautiful pattern papers and gorgeous digi stamps...

Using the adorable ginger bread santa and the holly berries i whipped up something for you today... :)

Blazing red and green card stock, vellum, rhinestones, faux stitching...

embossed the vellum with Christmas stars on the reverse, cut open a window in the center of the card front, assembled some stamped gifts, ginger bead Santa and the holly berries... some stones and white gel pen to complete the look and yes, chomped off the corners too :)

I just print it out on white CS, crop the sides, sponge it with distress ink, some faux stitching and a bling in the center. You can use it in many ways... I know most of you have already wore your thinking caps..lolzz. So, here are your freebies:

Time again for Tutorial Thursday

Hey all, Fink here! I hope I do this okay because I have never done one like this before!

I am going to show you how to do a Hinge card (I hope)! First you will need to have your pieces cut.

Sizes: Base- A2 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 (beige), #2 4 1/4 (red and green piece) #3 Accent piece 1 1/4 x 4 1/4, #4 4 1/4x 3 (green paper), #5 2 3/4 x 2 1/2 (or whatever size you need it for your image), #6 2 1/2 x 2 1/4 (background for image)

You will want your base piece to be a light one since you will want to put the sentiment on it.

Next step is to take #2 & 3 piece and cut edging out. You can leave the edge straight and just do edge of 3. It is really up to you. I did both for more effect.

Next step is to adhere piece 3 to 2.

Next you will want to line up your bottom pieces and piece 4 with your base.

Once you have it lined up, you will have to make the hole through your layers (see example, the white spot is the hole) put the brad you have in to put hinge together! The green layer is the hinge part.

Next you will want to open your card to put adhesive on piece 2 to attach it to bottom (back of my paper is the red shown)

Then flip back over and adhere to base

Next you will want to do your image and it’s base layer. You will attach this to piece #4. Adhere only top half of the focal image to hinge top!!! This is important! Your image will be on the hinge but will close over your base.

The above card is my finished project with the hinge closed and the next picture is it open!

I don’t know if you can see it but I did glitter pen on the stars and antlers plus made the reindeer’s nose red with glitter pen over it. I added the embellies like you see for my final project! The edges are also all inked with coffee color to add a vintage look!

Fresh Out of the Oven

Good Morning on this Beautiful Tuesday! Rachel here, to share with you a fresh from the oven image.

Now, I saw a very amazing tutorial online a while back that had these fabulous deer images. The stamp was red rubber, and a little pricey so I was never able to case that fabulous project I had seen... UNTIL NOW!

Black Leaf Studios came out with this fabulous set:

And here is the card I made using that fabulous image:Do you recognize the sketch? I used this weeks BLS sketch. To play along with us this week, make a project with the sketch. You can find the sketch and link to that sketch on the right in the sidebar. (And just a side note, you don't even have to use a BLS product to enter to win a WHOLE set of digi stamps from BLS!)

I removed the antlers and flipped the image for one deer. I colored each deer in and brayered the background before stamping the trees.

Joyous Christmas

Good morning, Stephanie here. It's a bitterly nasty day out today but I've got Christmas on my mind. I used the new Christmas digi papers and reindeer for my card this morning.

Now, I'm not sure this qualifies for Create Magic Monday, but I'm not one for using digi papers that often because I never know what to do with the left over paper I print - it seems to be so wasteful. Well, this time, I decided to play around and I printed the digi paper in a 4"x6" format so I wouldn't waste ink or paper. This made it so much easier to focus on creating my card, and not worry about waste!!! I then backed the digi paper with some cardstock to help it stand out a little more. The reindeer was colored with Prisma pencils for a rugged look and I added some stickles for a little shimmer around it.

Why not check out all the exciting digis Blackleaf has to offer - you'll be glad you did!!!!

Step by Step Thursday with Chris!

Hello everyone!!! I am here with Step by Step Thursday to show you how to make quick and simple gift tags using some of the newest and greatest digi images from Blackleaf Studios!!!!

Step 1: Print images (I used the new Holly leaves image) onto white cardstock (I printed 4 on a page so I could punch them out)

Step 2: Using circle punch or Nestabilities, punch out image, making sure you leave space to write on the tag. I used my Mega Circle punch.

Step 3: Punch out circles using Giga Scallop circle punch (or Nestabilities). This is a great way to use up those scraps!!!!

Step 4: Colour image, sponge edges if desired and adhere to scallop circle.

Step 5: Using a hole punch, punch a hole in the top for your ribbon. I used my Crop-o-dile.

Step 6: Attach ribbon. Stamp or handwrite on the tag.

Done!! You have a quick and easy gift tag that is sure to bring a smile to someone's face!!!! Stay tuned tomorrow for Freebie Friday with Ashley!!!! Have a great day!!!

Create Magic Monday

I am not sure I created magic but I used tools I have not used in some time for this card! I used one of the November releases at the store. I am so excited because I believe I am the first to use one! Go Fink! LOL Anyway I am using BL Reindeer for this card. Let me show it to you:

This is create magic so I think I did that breaking out my embossing stuff which is hard to see at the bottom of this card where it says Holiday Greetings. I also got out my stickles to do the antlers and my Sakura pen plus stickles for the stars. This is my magic!!!! Break out those things you bought and haven’t used like the embossing powder!!!! You can create wonderful cards with just a few things in a little bit of time that everyone will love and only you know it was a quick easy one! Hee hee, I won’t tell

Step by Step Thursday with Bear Hug

Hey Freinds,

Its time for another Step-by Step Thursday with me Neeti. Today I made a simple quick card using the set Cuddle Bears Stamp Set from Blackleaf Studio.

Aren't these cutee cute?? Truly cuddable :). And I know, everyone loves to be hugged and cuddled :). So, here's my card giving BEAR HUGS to everyone.

I made this pocket birthday card, where a bear pops out to give you some BEAR hugs.

A purely quickie card, just as 1-2-3.
1. Grab you craft supplies, Card Stock, coordinating DP, Image and ribbon.
2. Color your image, Cut through the sides and make a loop for the ribbon. I used my markers to color the image with circular and asymmetric strokes (to give a furry look). The eyes are pooped out by using black rhinestones.
Make a pocket from DP (since I used a circular card, I made a circular pocket, cutting the upper edge with designer scissor).
Cut our your Sentiment. I cut and arranged them out as banner.
3. Paste everything intact by applying adhesive to the corner edges of DP and stick it on CS. Next, come the Sentiment pieces. And lastly insert your bear into the pocket with its arm folded inward 'just' slightly.

You can use it create anything in the world..lolzz. You can flip it... mirror image it.... vertical... horizontal.... but as long as we can make out its our sketch we are okey with any theme or color :)

Did I use lots of summery colors?? I think, sometime its good to overcast the shady weather with lots of colors :). I used one of the freebies Butterfly from Blackleaf Studio. The time I saw this DIGI, I was dying to use this :). So finally I got to use it. Yeahhh!!!

Hope you liked my creation. And we would love to see what you all come up with this sketch. The winner will take home one of the DIGI stamp set from the shopee.

I love this border stamp. I printed it once on 3 different papers and then cropped it down to just one leaf that I printed to use as my focal. I colored the image with my markers.

Step by Step Thursday...

Hey girls,

It's time for Step by Step Thursday with Noor!!!

Today I used some cute stamps from 'Stars Stamps' set

to make this mini card

The steps are as easy as 1-2-3:

First, I distressed the cardstock with Old Paper distress ink (Tim Holtz)
Then I stamped it with swirls stamps (Inkadinkado)

3. Lastly I adhered the pre-colored stamps from the Stars Stamps (Blackleaf Designs)

Isn't that so easy??

Stamp It Up

Hey Everyone!

Happy Wednesday! Ashley here with the Stamp It Up feature.

Have you ever stressed about creating something and making sure it was fancy and embellished and took ALOT of time. Time has not been on my side lately and I have a lot going on (SAHM with an active 2 year old, selling/showing our home/etsy orders/selling Copics...just to name a few LOL)

Anyways. I just wanted to take a breather and create something that is wonderful and creative..but also a project where I do not stress about LOL.

When I saw the vintage clock set I knew this set would be perfect for invitations..especially for a New Years Eve party!!

Card front Invite-

You cannot tell but the clock and clock center is popdotted. I cut the clock out with my scallop circle punch and I cut out the center area. I cut out another clock and just cut the hands out.

I popdotted them onto a smaller circle and put a brad in the center of the hands.

I can now make the clock hands move to whatever time I want!! See what I mean?! Simple but yet creative and fun :)
I used an EK Success border punch and a Stampabilities invite stamp for the back!

For my card I used the darling little witch, her hat, black cat and every good witch has to have a web and spider. So in all I use 5 of the stamps!!! Let me show you:

Step by Step Thursday with Chic Calendar

Hey Chickies,

How are you doing today? It's Step by Step Thursday with me Neeti. And I bring along with me a different project today. No, its not a goodie-bag or basket... not a scrapbook page too... and absolutely no card for today :).

I created a digi Calendar using some gorgeous stamps and DP from Blackleaf Studio. I used this wonderful & colorful clip art set of Vintage Clocks and a beautiful beautiful DP from Spa Clipart Set.

Aren't these sets such a chicks. You can get them from the Blackleaf Studio. They are so versatile. And here is what I created mixing them both :)

Since 2010 is waving us goodbye, and we are ushering into new year 2011. I decided to create a calendar for 2011, hoping it will bring along peace and prosper time for everyone. That is why I used so many clocks..lolzz

Now, the deets for this project. Believe me, you don't have to be a pro or technically sound to create this calendar. I just used Word doc for this creation and its way too simple. Here are the steps:

1. Open a new Word document. Insert background PP/picture from the folder (from where you have stored the image) by using INSERT tab -> Pictures. Drag the corners for the background paper so that it covers all the white area.

** Note for each picture you need to wrap the image as square, otherwise they wont shift from their place. And I am using MS Office 2010.

2. Again Insert picture of a calendar. I got these monthly calendar from some website. I am so sorry, I was not able to note down the website name while saving them on my PC. Will try to search again for the name. Otherwise you will get lots of free downloadable Calendars while googling :).

3. I added the border and shadow affect to all the months. You can do that by selecting the image. In the FORMAT tab, click on the Picture Effect -> in the drop down menu, you get plenty of options to play with :). I used GLOW and SOFT EDGES. However, you can experiment with any combinations of your likings.

4. Now the fun part. I inserted the clocks, resize them and place them on different positions over the months.

As simple as 1-2-3-4. Although, its a bit time taking, but I had real fun setting, aligning, playing, coloring with the images. Don't you think its worth the labor. You get your own creative calendar for your desktop that reflects your personality :). I will surely going to make this as my wallpaper :). Would you be doing too?

Stamp it Up Wednesday

Hey there! It's Stamp it Up Wednesday here at the Black Leaf Designs and I'm delighted to share the beauty of simplicity with you :) I chose a very simple layout and used one of the stars from the Stars Stamps Set.

I added a few dots onto the star using a white gel pen. That along with some faux stitching around the image makes the card 'pop' :)

Choosing a simple layout allows you to bring all the attention to the image. It's a great technique when you want to highlight an image.

Hope you try a simple card project today!

Fresh From the Oven

Wow, is it Tuesday already?

Well since it IS Tuesday, that means you get to see something fresh from my "oven!"

This is Rachel B, here with you on this fine morning to share with you something new I made with this fabulous stamp set:

Isn't that set so cute?

And if you look closely, you can see that some of the stars have a holiday image inside them. Wouldn't those be cute as little treats as the Holidays approach?

Here is what I did with them:Handy little Sucker Treats!

To make:
I took a 2"x4.25" piece of cardstock and scored the landscape side at 2" and 2.25."
I then stamped my sentiment on the outside of the holder on the front and back. I then printed the stars at 1.5" square onto some patterned paper. Next I cut the stars out. I adhered the stars under my sentiment (on both front and back of outside).
I took into consideration when putting my sentiment and star on the cover that I would be making two holes at the bottom of the cover to keep the cover closed with a ribbon. To make the holes, I folded the cover at my score lines and held the bottoms together and punched two holes toward the center with my crop-a-dile.

Finally, I put the sucker inside the cover and strung some curling ribbon through the holes (making sure the sucker stick was in between the holes and ribbon) and then tied the ends to themselves.

Easy as punch! Just think of the little treat holders you could make in Halloween colors or for Christmas! So easy and fast too!

Check out that Alarm Clock from the BLS 'Vintage Clock' set...isn't that just too cute... i was quite happy with the sentiment that i found to go with it... very appropriate :)

the recipe has some ecru cardstock, coordinated PPs, corrugated sheets, twine, some stones... and dats about it... easy peazy...

tried masking for the first time here... was quite a lot of fun... came out well too!!!

Step by Step Thursday

Hello! I'm here to share with you a very simple yet versatile and fun project.

Just four easy steps to create this Halloween Treat Box.

Start with two pieces of 7x7 CS. I printed out the cute lil ghost from the Trick or Treat Set on one of the square pieces. I chose this for the lid. (Note: Cut just a sliver off on two sides from the piece you choose as the box base so the lid will fit snugly.)
Score on all four sides of both squares at 3/4".
Cut up to the score lines on two opposite sides. Apply double sided tape/adhesive onto the tabs. (See picture)
Bring the box together by firmly adhering the tabs. Embellish/decorate as you wish!

Easy breezy! You can make this box in just about any size and dimension. It's up to you :) This is great to hold candies and treats.

Happy Monday everyone! Greetings from Amy Heller !
Today it's raining here in CT but I have some cheery and bright projects to show you! Tanvi, owner and digital designer over at BlackLeaf Studios, asked me to guest design for her several months back and today is the day I can reveal the hybrid projects I created using some of her fabulous digital designs! The main product I used were these fabulous papers from the pack called Aspen Breeze. I just love the colors and the patterns are so fab! Perfect for card making and scrapbooking!

I wanted to go clean and simple. I took this fab paper from Aspen Breeze and used it as my main background, then as the focal point in the "o" in love. Teamed up with a giant Prima flower, I love how it turned out.
